Live Painting at Bloomingdale’s Just Imagine Event

Brynna Ventura and I had the incredible opportunity to do a live painting at Bloomingdale’s Sherman Oaks location for their Just Imagine event. Huge thanks to Kim, the Graphic Design and Illustration Department, and our professor Allen Brewer for spotlighting us Otis College students!

We had so much fun collaborating on a vibrant, engaging piece, starting from a blank canvas at noon and transforming it into a finished artwork by 5 pm. It was especially wonderful to interact with Bloomingdale’s customers, incorporating their ideas and suggestions into the painting in real time.

This experience was both inspiring and rewarding, and we’re deeply grateful for the chance to share our work in such a public, dynamic space. The finished piece is currently on display on the 2nd floor of Bloomingdale’s Sherman Oaks as of September 6th, 2025. Go check it out if you’re nearby!
